Lauren Mueller - Volleyball

Junior outside hitter Lauren Mueller of the 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team guided the Tartans to a 4-0 mark at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Round Robin #2 including two wins over top ranked teams (3-1 win over #13 Chicago and a 3-2 win over #4 Emory). Mueller led the team with 58 kills, 3.87 kills per game, and hit .265 in the four matches. The junior recorded three double-doubles and doudle digit kills in all four matches. She opened play on Saturday with 11 kills against Rochester, then tabbed 18 kills and 21 digs against Chicago. On Sunday, the junior tabbed 14 kills and 12 digs in the win over Brandeis before closing the round robin with 15 kills and 10 digs in a win over 4th-ranked Emory.
