Liz Barre - Women's Track and Field

Senior Liz Barre of the Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team won the long jump and high jump titles at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Indoor Championships over the weekend. Barre started the championships with a school record jump of 5.57 meters to win the long jump. The senior broke the mark of 5.51 meters set by Sasha Spalding set in 2015. On the second day, Barre won the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.63 meters. She also placed second in the 60-meter hurdles as she posted a personal-best time of 8.87. Barre became the first athlete in program history to win two titles in field events at the indoor championships.
