Mlodzianowski Promoted to Coordinator of Events, Facilities and Operations
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Jason Mlodzianowski has been promoted to Coordinator of Events, Facilities and Operations after spending two years in the athletics department as the event manager and coordinator of athletics facilities.
During Mlodzianowski’s two years on the Tartan staff, he has been the lead event manager for soccer and basketball while providing a steady influence on all intercollegiate events hosted at Carnegie Mellon. He has served as tournament director for multiple NCAA soccer events as well as the 2014 NCAA men’s tennis regional.
“Since his first day at Carnegie Mellon, Jason has made a significant impact on our operation with his passion, work ethic and attention to detail,” said Director of Athletics Josh Centor. “He cares deeply about student experience and ensures that our events and facilities are run in a first-class manner. Jason has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills in his efforts, and has accomplished a great deal in his two years with our department. He is a tremendous young administrator and we are fortunate to have him serve in this important capacity.”
While managing athletics facilities and serving as the department liaison to Carnegie Mellon’s Facilities Management Services team, Mlodzianowski has overseen multiple projects, including locker room renovations for football, soccer and track and field in 2014. Mlodzianowski also helped manage the replacement of the football field last year, and is overseeing multiple projects this summer.
During the 2014-15 academic year, Mlodzianowski assumed new responsibilities supervising the athletics department’s equipment room operation. In this role, Mlodzianowski developed inventory and distribution procedures that enhanced overall efficiency.
Mlodzianowski is a 2007 graduate of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA), where he received a bachelor’s degree in history and was captain of the men’s soccer program. He received his master’s in Athletic Administration from Springfield College. Mlodzianowski previously worked at Springfield College, University of Connecticut, the ECAC and the University of Missouri.
