Two Named Athlete of the Week by ECAC

(DANBURY, Conn.) – Two Carnegie Mellon University athletes were honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) when the organization announced its weekly award winners this week. Men's cross country junior Andrew Harter (Saratoga, Calif.) and women's cross country sophomore Abigail Levine (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda Chevy Chase) were honored.

Andrew Harter - South Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Junior Andrew Harter of the Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team led the Tartans to a runner-up finish at the Carnegie Mellon Hampton Inn Pittsburgh - University/Medica Center Invitational on Saturday, behind Division II power Shippensburg University. Harter paced the Tartans, as he was the first Division III runner finish, with a time of 26:24.4, His finish placed seventh overall in a field of 208 runners.

Abigail Levine - South Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

Sophomore Abigail Levine of the Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team led the Tartans at the Carnegie Mellon Hampton Inn Pittsburgh - University/Medica Center Invitational on Saturday, behind Division II power Shippensburg University. Levine paced the Tartans, as she was the first Division III runner finish, with a time of 18:52.6. Her finish placed sixth overall in a field of 178 runners.
