Tepper Fitness Center Opens to Carnegie Mellon Community

With the opening of the David A. Tepper Quadrangle, the Carnegie Mellon University campus community has another place to maximize its fitness goals. On the first floor of the Tepper Quad, a 7,200 square foot fitness center is available for all students, staff, and faculty.

The fitness center's first day of operation will be July 24, 2018 and available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the summer.

The new area includes 11 treadmills looking out floor-to-ceiling windows on the west side of the building. There are 13 ellipticals, two spin bikes, two recumbent bikes, three upright bikes, two rowing machines, a stair climber, selectorized equipment, an exercise studio, a set of free weights with benches, and men's and women's locker rooms. Towel service can be purchased at the Tepper fitness center, along with locks and Fitbucks. There are lockers available for daily use.

There will be programming in the studio and use of the terrace for stretching, small group classes and other fitness activities by the start of classes at the end of August.
