Tartan Athletics Club Adds Two to Board of Directors

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Two Carnegie Mellon alumni have joined the Tartan Athletics Club Board of Directors, as they will provide continued leadership and insight. Joining the Board in 2022 are Jackie (Guevel) Harrison and Joshua Kimball will join a Board that has made a significant impact on the Carnegie Mellon Athletics program since its inception in August 2012.

“Jackie and Josh are both terrific additions to the Tartan Athletics Club Board of Directors. They have tremendous experience in their fields and share incredible passion for the Carnegie Mellon Athletics Program,” said Director of Athletics Josh Centor. “For the past 10 years, the TAC Board of Directors has had significant influence on the upward trajectory of our department. I am grateful to all of our Board members for their efforts and impact, and to Jackie and Josh for their commitment to serve the Tartans.”

Harrison is a 2014 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and earned her MBA from Rice University in 2019. She competed four years for the Tartans track and field program where she was a four-time All-American in hurdle events and still holds multiple school records and one UAA record. Upon graduation, Harrison joined ExxonMobil and has held a number of roles in project management and supply chain over the last eight years. Jackie and her husband live outside Houston in The Woodlands, TX.

A 2001 graduate, Kimball was a member of the Tartan football team. He currently leads Data Architecture and Data Science at Calendly, Atlanta's newest startup "unicorn." Prior to this, he was the Chief Data Scientist at an Atlanta-based advertising technology startup, Videa.tv. He completed his PhD and master’s in computer science at Georgia Institute of Technology. Kimball built financial derivative processing systems at Bank of New York Mellon and implemented classroom data management platforms for Teach For America before his graduate work at Georgia Tech. Josh and his wife Dena have two daughters, Nadia and Nessa.

The Carnegie Mellon University Tartan Athletics Club strives to support, grow and develop the athletics program by engagement of alumni, students, friends and leadership of Carnegie Mellon University. The Club will support the goals and mission of the athletics department, within the context of the University’s goals and mission. The Club will pursue targeted strategies to develop and enhance alumni relations, fundraising, development and other initiatives as determined by the Club board and as approved by the university administration.
