(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University football team will travel to Washington & Jefferson College on Saturday, September 20 for a 1:30 p.m. kick against the Presidents.  The Tartans will enter the contest with a 0-1 mark while W&J has started the season with two victories.

Saturday's contest will mark the 64th between the two squads, but the first since 1989.  Carnegie Mellon holds the all-time series record at 32-26-5; while there have been 27 shutouts in the series with the Tartans also holding the edge, 13-11-3, with three games ending in a scoreless tie.

Carnegie Mellon enters the game following an off week after dropping a 30-0 decision at Case Western Reserve University in week one.  The Tartans will look to break their skid of seven straight loses following an idle week, as their last win came in 2006.

Washington & Jefferson is coming into the game scoring 53.5 points and averaging 547.0 yards per game, ranking ninth and tenth nationally, respectively.  The Presidents are the first team listed as others receiving votes in the d3football.com top 25 poll with 33 points.
