Sept. 24 - (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University football team will open its home schedule on Saturday, September 27 when they entertain Geneva College on the turf at Gesling Stadium in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest.  Opening kick is set for 1:00 p.m.

Carnegie Mellon and Geneva will meet for the 23rd time Saturday with the Tartans leading the all-time series 13-8-1.  The series reunited last season after a 23-year hiatus, as Carnegie Mellon defeated Geneva in double overtime, 41-34, in Pittsburgh. The first ever meeting between the two schools was in 1907, a game which was won by Geneva, 6-0.  The shutout also was the first of six straight in the series and 11 total with the Tartans holding the edge with seven.

Carnegie Mellon will enter the contest with an overall and PAC mark of 0-2 after dropping a 48-30 decision at Washington & Jefferson.  Geneva comes to Pittsburgh with a record of 1-2, as it dropped a 44-38 double-overtime contest at Waynesburg Saturday afternoon.
