(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University football team will travel to Bethany, West Virginia on Saturday, October 11 to play the Bison in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest. The Tartans will look for their third straight victory after starting the season 0-2.

Carnegie Mellon is coming off a thrilling 27-24 victory over Westminster College on October 4.  Tartan freshman place kicker Tyler Kohman connected on a school record 50-yard field goal on an untimed down as the ball hit the crossbar and bounced through the uprights.  Kohman's field goal marked Carnegie Mellon's second score in the final 43 seconds of the contest.  Bethany will enter the contest riding a four-game winning streak after dropping its first contest of the season to third-ranked Mount Union.  Last week, Bethany traveled to Cleveland and left with a 25-14 victory over Case Western Reserve University.

The last meeting between the schools was in 2007, with the Tartans winning 42-19 in Bethany.  The Cardinal and Gray lead the all-time series 33-6 and will look to extend its winning streak over the Bison to eight games.  The Tartans will enter the contest with the Bison having a record of 2-2 overall and in PAC play.  Bethany has a perfect mark in PAC play at 3-0 and are 4-1 overall.
