Kohman Named UAA Special Teams Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Freshmen Tyler Kohman (Pataskala, Ohio/Columbus Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University football team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Special Teams Athlete of the Week for his play in the Tartans' 38-31 setback at Saint Vincent College Saturday, October 25.

The freshman booted five punts for an average of 45.4 yards while placing two inside the Bearcats' 20-yard line. He also booted a career-best punt of 54 yards while adding another punt of 50 yards. The freshman now has placed 16 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line and currently averages 38.3 yards per punt.

Carnegie Mellon will return home on Saturday, November 1 when it entertains Thiel College at 1:00 p.m. on the turf of Gesling Stadium.
