(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University football team will conclude its Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) schedule on Saturday, November 1 as they welcome the Tomcats of Thiel College to Gesling Stadium.  

Saturday will mark the 41st meeting between the two schools and first since the 2006 season when Carnegie Mellon defeated Thiel 14-7 in Greenville, Pa.  The Tartans lead the all-time series 28-10-2. The two teams first-ever meeting was in 1915, as the Tartans of Carnegie Tech defeated Thiel 25-0.  Carnegie Mellon outscored Thiel 239-0 in the first six contests, as the Tomcats lost the first 14 meetings.  Thiel got its first victory in 1966 when the Tomcats defeated the Tartans 14-7.

Carnegie Mellon will enter the contest with a 3-4 overall record and the identical mark in PAC play while the Tomcats are 2-5, 1-4.  All three of the Tartans' victories this season have come on the turf of Gesling Stadium.  Kick is set for 1:00 p.m.
