Football Looks to Even Record with Road Trip to Grove City

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University football team will look to even its record when it travels to Grove City College Saturday, October 17 to play the Wolverines. The Tartans enter the contest with a 2-3 overall mark and a record of 2-2 in Presidents' Athletic Conference play while Grove City is 0-5, 0-3.
    
Saturday's game between the Tartans and Wolverines will mark the 57th meeting between the two schools with Carnegie Mellon leading the series 35-19-2. The Cardinal and Gray have won five of the last six meetings including a 21-10 win in Pittsburgh last season.  The Tartans have squared off against the Wolverines more times than any other team except for Washington & Jefferson College. The first meeting between the two teams dates back to 1908 when then Carnegie Tech defeated Grove City by the score of 6-4.  

Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. on the turf of Robert E. Thorn Field in Grove City.
