(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University football team will look for its third Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win, on Saturday, October 8, when the Cardinal and Gray travel to Washington & Jefferson College. The Tartans will enter the contest with an overall mark of 2-2 and a PAC record of 2-1 while W&J holds a record of 3-1, 1-1.
Saturday's contest will mark the 66th time the two teams will meet on the gridiron with the Tartans leading the series 32-28-5. Last season, W&J defeated the Tartans 38-14 in Pittsburgh. The Tartans have faced the Presidents more times than any other team. The first meeting between the two teams dates back to 1906 when W&J defeated then Carnegie Tech 34-0. There have been 27 shutouts in the series with Carnegie Mellon holding the edge 13-11-3, with three games ending in a scoreless tie.
Kick is set for 2:00 p.m. at Cameron Stadium in Washington, Pennsylvania.
