Hubbard Receives PAC and UAA Weekly Special Teams Honors; Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Carnegie Mellon University junior Rory Hubbard (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif./Palos Verdes Peninsula) was recognized by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and University Athletic Association (UAA) as Special Teams Athlete of the Week following his play in the Tartans win over Geneva College this past Saturday. Hubbard was also recognized nationally on the D3football.com Team of the Week.

Hubbard totaled 144 kickoff return yards, which included a 92-yard return for a touchdown, in the win. His touchdown return marked Carnegie Mellon's first kickoff return for a score since the 2015 season, when Chris Herrera returned a kick 88 yards against Bridgewater State in the ECAC Legacy Bowl. The junior also added three carries for 20 yards.

Carnegie Mellon will travel to Greenville, Pennsylvania, to play the Tomcats of Thiel College on Saturday, October 21. Kick is set for 7:00 p.m.
