Kumm Named to D3football.com All-South Region Team

(MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.) – Senior H-back Karl Kumm (Brick, N.J./Brick Township), of the Carnegie Mellon University football team was named to the D3football.com 2018 All-South Region team. Kumm earned second-team honors, as the senior was selected in balloting by South Region sports information directors and D3football.com staff. This marks the fifth straight season the Tartans have had at least one player receive the accolade.

Kumm, a first team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and All-University Athletic Association (UAA) selection, finished the season as the Tartans leading receiver with 638 yards, seven touchdowns and 49 receptions. He recorded three 100-yard receiving contests with a career-best 115 yards in the season finale against Geneva. In the win, Kumm also posted career-bests with 11 receptions and two touchdowns. He ranked fifth in the PAC in receptions per game (4.9) and seventh in receiving yards per game (63.8) while ranking 10th in scoring with 42 points.

Kumm is now eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced the evening of Dec. 14, in D3football.com's pregame coverage for Stagg Bowl XLVI.
