Kumm and Kennon Named to All-ECAC Team

(DANBURY, Conn.). – Senior H-back Karl Kumm (Brick, N.J./Brick Township) and junior defensive back Anthony Kennon (Lancaster, Mass./Nashoba Regional) of the Carnegie Mellon University football team were named to the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Football Team. Both received first team accolades.

Kumm, a second team D3football.com All-South Region honoree, and first team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and All-University Athletic Association (UAA) selection, finished the season as the Tartans leading receiver with 638 yards, seven touchdowns and 49 receptions. He recorded three 100-yard receiving contests with a career-best 115 yards in the season finale against Geneva. In the win, Kumm also posted career-bests with a school record 11 receptions and added two touchdowns. He ranked fifth in the PAC in receptions per game (4.9) and seventh in receiving yards per game (63.8) while ranking 10th in scoring with 42 points.

Kennon, first team All-PAC and All-UAA selection, led the PAC with 16 passes defended and ranked fourth with four interceptions. Two of his picks came in the Tartans' victory at nationally ranked Case Western Reserve with the last coming in the end zone during overtime. Kennon finished the season with 38 tackles, 26 solo, ranking fourth on the team in solo stops and seventh in total tackles.
