Vasiliadis Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Carnegie Mellon University sophomore running back Tre Vasiliadis (Great Falls, Va./Langley) was recognized nationally on the D3football.com Team of the Week. Vasiliadis garners the honors following his play Saturday in the Tartans' 31-17 win over Geneva College.

Vasiliadis ran for a career-high 263 yards on 39 carries and two touchdowns. The sophomore also added a receiving touchdown. His 263 yards rushing was the second highest single-game total by a Tartan and the most since Chris Haas rushed for 218 yards against Case Western Reserve in 2018.

Vasiliadis has rushed for 339 yards this season and is averaging 169.5 yards per game ranking fifth in Division III.

Carnegie Mellon will continue its three-game road trip to start the season on Saturday, September 18 with a 1:00 p.m. kick at Grove City College.
