The remainder of the half was back-and-forth. A traditional three-point play by Joshua Bailey with 32 ticks left gave King's a 35-32 edge, but Henry closed the half with a jumper to cut the Tartans deficit to 35-34 at the break.

A layup by McNeil six minutes into the second half gave the Tartans a 43-42 lead and the Cardinal and Gray never trailed the rest of the way.
