Klodowski Fires Six Birdies on Third Day of Jekyll Island Invitational

(JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team completed play at the 2015 Jekyll Island Collegiate Sunday, March 15.  The Tartans finished tied for 21st after 54 holes of play with a three-round total of 913 (302-311-300). The three-day event was played on the 6,711-yard, par-72 Pine Lakes Course on Jekyll Island.

Sophomore Jordan Klodowski (Kittanning, Pa.) shot Sunday's lowest round for the Tartans, recording six birdies on his way to a one-over 73. Senior Cameron Low (Los Angeles, Calif./Windward) along with sophomore George Qian (Bettendorf, Iowa/Montverde Academy) each carded a 75 for the second straight day.

Qian was the top overall finisher for the Tartans with a three-day total of 223, placing him tied for 37th. Low followed with a 226 while Klodowski turned in a 230.

Sophomore Alexander Pomerantz (Warren, N.J./Watchung Hills Regional) shot his lowest round of the three-day tournament on Sunday with a 77 and finished with a 54-hole total of 237. Senior Justin Fischler (Avon, Conn.) turned in a 78 Sunday to go with his first two rounds of 76 and 85.

Three individuals for Carnegie Mellon continued play Sunday on the par-72 Oleander Course. Sophomore Brad Jennette (Pittsford, N.Y./Sutherland) tallied a three-round score of 236 (79-77-80), freshman Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) carded a 238 (80-79-79) and freshman Adrian Del Bosque (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy) finished with a 244 (84-84-76).    

The Tartans will next compete at The Hershey Cup at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, Pa., on Sunday, April 5 and Monday, April 6.
