Del Bosque Cards a Four-Under 68 to Lead Men’s Golf at Final Round of Wynlakes Intercollegiate

(MONTGOMERY, Ala.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team carded a final round of 309 at the Wynlakes Intercollegiate in Montgomery, Alabama on Tuesday, and finished 15th with a 36-hole score of 632 (323-309). Wittenberg University won the 16-team event with a score of 591 (299-292). The 36-hole event was played at the par 72, 6,979-yard Wynlakes Golf & Country Club.

Senior Adrian Del Bosque (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy) carded six birdies in the closing round and fired a four-under par 68 to lead the Cardinal and Gray. The senior tied for sixth in a field of 88 golfer with a 36-hole score of 146 (78-68). His 68 on Tuesday was the lowest round by an individual for the tournament.

Freshman Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) carded a 77 on Tuesday and finished with a 152 (75-77). Junior Patrick Tan (Vancouver, British Columbia/Prince of Wales Secondary) ended the two-day event with a 166 (82-84)

Senior Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) shot a 171 (88-83) while freshman Trevor Arashiro (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani) recorded a 175 (94-81), after improving 13 strokes form his opening round.

The Tartans had one individual enter the invitational, as freshman Aaron Silverstein (Fairfax, Calif./Sir Francis Drake) shot a 174 (78-96).

The Tartans will host their annual Spring Invitational on Thursday, March 29. A shotgun start is set for 10:00 a.m. at the Longue Vue Club in Verona, Pennsylvania.
