Li Leads Tartans at Opening Round of Golfweek DIII Fall Invite

(SANDESTIN, Fla.) - Sophomore Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team is tied for fourth individually following his opening round of three-under par 68 at the 2018 Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational which was played Sunday afternoon. The three-day, 54-hole event is being held at par 71, 6,659-yard Raven Golf Club in Sandestin, Florida. The Tartans are currently third after carding a team score of one-over par 285.

Li's opening round of 68 is a season-low for the sophomore. Freshman Joshua Lim (San Francisco, Calif./Lowell) also shot a season-best round, as he fired an even par 71. Freshman James Pak (Palisades Park, N.J./Bergen Catholic) carded a one-over par 72.

Freshman William Knauth (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) ended play with a 74 Sunday and sophomore Jason Folker (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) shot an 81.

The second round is set for Tuesday morning with tee times starting at 7:30 a.m.
