Li Ties School Record, Fires 67 in Final Round of Strimer Memorial Invitational

(DELAWARE, Ohio) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team carded a 288 during the final round of the Strimer Memorial Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Sunday to finish in a tie for second. Sophomore Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) tied a school record with a four-under par 67 to lead the Tartans on the par-71 Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio. The Cardinal and Gray ended the event with a 588 (300-288) to tie for second.

Li ended the 36-hole event with a two-under par 140 (73-67), which placed him second individually. Sophomore Jason Folker (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) shot even par 71 in round two and ended with a 147 (71-76).

Senior Austin Lin (Los Gatos, Calif./Archbishop Mitty) recorded a 149 (74-75) while freshman William Knauth (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) ended with a 152 (77-75). Freshman Joshua Lim (San Francisco, Calif./Lowell) carded rounds of 80 and 81 for a 161.

The Tartans had one individual enter the invitational, as freshman Henry Scavone (Birmingham, Mich./Birmingham Seaholm), who carded a 67 on Saturday, shot a 77 on Sunday to finish with a 144.
