Tartans B Team Places Second at 36-hole Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational

(MEADVILLE, Pa.) – The B team of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf program competed at the annual Guy and Jeanne Kuhn Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole invite was played at The Country Club of Meadville and was hosted by Allegheny College. The Tartans carded rounds of 293 and 312 for a 605 and finished six strokes behind the host Gators.

Junior Jay Milch (Mount Kisco, N.Y./Fox Lane) claimed individual medalist honors after carding a two-over par 146 for the event. The junior opened play on Sunday with a career-low round of two-under par 70 and followed with a 76 on Monday.

Freshman Brian Li (Beijing, China/Blair Academy) finished play with a 152 after carding rounds of 74 and 78. The freshman placed eighth in the field of 69 golfers. Junior Trevor Arashiro (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani) and Henry Scavone (Birmingham, Mich./Birmingham Seaholm) shot 153 and 154, respectively. Arashiro carded rounds of 73 and 80 while Scavone had rounds of 76 and 78. Freshman Morgan Yang (Sydney, Australia/North Sydney) turned in rounds of 76 and 84 to finish with a 160.

The Tartans will open play at the NCAA Preview in Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday, September 14. The 54-hole event is being played at the PGA National Champions Course.
