Jason Li Garners UAA Athlete of the Week Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Junior Jason Li (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Golf Athlete of the Week following his career performance at the 2019 Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational.

Li broke three school records after carding rounds of 69, 66 and 71. He set the lowest round (66), lowest two-round (135) and lowest three-round (206) school records. The junior finished fifth with a seven-under 206 in a field of 90 golfers on the par 71, 6,725-yard Raven Golf Club at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida.

In nine rounds this season, Li has carded even-par or lower in six. He has a scoring average of 71.7 heading into play this week.

Carnegie Mellon will return to the links on October 28-29, when they will compete in the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial at the Dye Course of Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
