(FREDERICKSBURG, Va.) – Freshman Raymond Li (Del Mar, Calif./Torrey Pines) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team was named Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Men's Golfer of the Week. Li garners the accolade after matching a school record and helping lead the Tartans to a win at the 22-team O'Briant-Jensen Memorial hosted by Guilford College on The Cardinal by Pete Dye Course in Greensboro, North Carolina, October 28-29.

Li placed second individually in a field of 120 golfers after carding a 36-hole score of 139. Li opened play with a two-over par 73 before tying a school record with a five-under par 66 on Tuesday to close out play. In both rounds, Li posted an eagle on hole 10. For the memorial, he recorded five birdies and two eagles. Li currently ranks second on the team with a 73.5 average as the Tartans fall season comes to a close.

The Tartans will be off until the spring when they compete in the Savannah Invitational at The Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Georgia from March 9-10.
