Tartan Men’s Golf Releases 2020-21 Roster

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – While the 2020-21 season has been put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Carnegie Mellon University head men's golf coach Dan Rodgers, in his fifth year at the helm of the Tartans and seventh with the Tartans, has released the roster for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Below are a few facts about the makeup of the 16-member men's golf team.

Notes:

  • The Tartans finished the year with the highest final ranking in program history of fourth nationally in 2019-20.
  • Four golfers were named PING Mid-Atlantic All-Region with three on this years roster: Jason Folker, Jason Li and Raymond Li
  • Following the 2019-20 season, Jason Li repeated as a NCAA Division III PING First Team All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Jason Folker and Raymond Li were named All-American Honorable Mention.
  • Three golfers were named to the All-UAA Team last season with all on the current roster: Jason Folker, Jason Li and Raymond Li
  • Jason Li repeated as UAA Men's Golfer of the Year last season while Raymond Li was named UAA Rookie of the Year.
  • At the conclusion of last years shortened season, Jason Li was named a finalist for the NCAA Division III Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award presented by Golf.com.
  • Four Tartans were named 2019-20 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars with all of them on the current roster: Jason Folker, William Knauth, Jason Li and Jay Milch
  • The Tartans ended the 2019-20 shortened season with a top-place finish at the 18-team, 54-hole Savannah Invitational. The Cardinal and Gray broke two school records in Savannah, carding a 31-under par (833) for the invitational and shooting a 19-under par (269) during the final round.
  • Head coach Dan Rodgers was named NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year and was a finalist for the Dave Williams Award, national coach of the year in NCAA Division III men's golf.
