(NICHOLASVILLE, Ky.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team continued play at the second round of the 54-hole NCAA Preview Monday on the Champions Trace Course at the Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The Cardinal and Gray are in a tie for fourth following the second round with a 36-hole score of 604 (305-299).

How it Happened:

  • Graduate student Henry Scavone continued to lead the Tartans. He carded a one-over par 73 for round two and has a 36-hole score of 145 (72-73). Scavone is currently tied for second individually in a field of 90.
  • Junior Brian Xu tied for the Tartans low round on Monday with a one-over par 73 and has a 148 (75-73) heading into the final day.
  • Freshman David Zhang improved six strokes from Sunday's round and carded a two-over par 74. The freshman has a 36-hole score of 154 (80-74).
  • Sophomore Justin Chan has a two-round score of 157 (78-79) following his round on Monday of 79.
  • Senior Joshua Lim will enter play on Tuesday with a 165 (83-82).
