Dan Rodgers joined the men's golf program as assistant coach in 2014-15 before being named head coach for the 2016-17 season. Rodgers also serves as the head coach of the women's golf team which competed in its first year of varsity collegiate competition in 2014-15.
In seven years at the helm, Rodgers has led the men’s golf team to five NCAA Championship appearances, including four straight appearances.
The 2022-23 season was a historic one for Rodgers and the program, as the Tartans won the first team NCAA Division III Championship in university history. Carnegie Mellon trailed by eight strokes heading into the final round and then recorded the lowest round of the tournament by any team of nine-under par on the last day.

Playing Career
Rodgers worked as the Head Golf Professional at the Sewickley Heights Golf Club in Sewickley, Pa. from 2015-16 and was the 1st Assistant Golf Professional from 2009-15. He managed a staff of nearly 20, trained golf operations professionals, supervised tournaments and taught clinics and lessons. Rodgers has also worked at the Wildwood Golf Club in Allison Park, Pa., and Valley Brook Country Club in McMurray, Pa.
