#10 Tartans Push Win Streak to Five

(GROVE CITY, Pa.) - Two first half goals pushed the 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory at Grove City College on Friday, September 21. The Tartans have won five straight and are now 6-0-1 for the season.

Senior Zack Masciopinto (Arlington Heights, Ill. / Buffalo Grove) put the Tartans on the board in the 17th minute with his sixth goal of the season. He received a pass from freshman Jason Edmunds (Libertyville, Ill. / Libertyville) who assisted on his second goal of the year.

Later in the first period, sophomore Patrick Kollman (Little Silver, N.J. / Christian Brothers Academy) added to the scoreline for the Tartans with a goal in the 39th minute. The goal marked the fourth of the year for Kollman while sophomore Jordi Long (Silver Spring, Md. / Montgomery Blair) picked up his fourth assist on the play.

Sophomore Alex Singh (Golden, Colo. / Lakewood) earned his fourth win of the season making three saves for the match.

The Tartans will next travel to John Carroll University on Sunday, September 23. The match is set to start at 2:00 p.m.
