#10 Tartans Tie John Carroll on the Road, 0-0

(UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio) - A strong second half for the Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team wasn't enough as John Carroll University held the 10th-ranked Tartans scoreless for the first time this season with a 0-0 tie. The Tartans are now 6-0-2 for the season while John Carroll moves to 4-3-1.

An evenly played first half saw John Carroll get off two shots that were wide while the Tartans were held without a shot. The tide turned in the second half as Carnegie Mellon's offense got moving and took 11 shots with six on frame to John Carroll's two shots and one on goal.

Both overtimes were played with no shots on goal.

Sophomore Alex Singh (Golden, Colo. / Lakewood) made his fifth straight start earning the decision after making one save. His record is now 4-0-1.

The Tartans stay on the road for their third consecutive match when they travel to New York City to face University Athletic Association opponent, New York University, on Saturday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m.
