#18 Tartans Fall 3-2 to St. Mary's

(SALISBURY, Md.) - The 18th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team fell 3-2 surrendering a late goal against St. Mary's College of Maryland on Saturday afternoon at the Salisbury University Elmer Lord Memorial Soccer Tournament. The Tartans are now 1-1 for the year after winning their opening game 2-1 on Friday night.

The Tartans worked hard to equalize after trailing 2-0 after 45 minutes of the game, before the Seahawks scored with under nine minutes to play to take the victory.

Senior Elliot Cohen scored for the second time in two games off an assist from sophomore Jason Edmunds in the 60th minute. Edmunds then scored an unassisted goal to tie the match at 2-all in the 77th minute.

The Tartans will next play the University of Mount Union at home on Friday, September 6 at 7:00 p.m.
