Painter Headlines Four Tartans on All-UAA Men’s Soccer Team

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer senior Jack Painter (Bethlehem, Pa./Moravian Academy) earned first-team recognition from the University Athletic Association (UAA) coaches to headline the Tartan players named to the All-UAA Men's Soccer Team. Joining Painter on the team is senior Elliot Cohen (Solana Beach, Calif. / Canyon Crest Academy), senior Jacob Moskowitz (Wilmette, Ill. / New Trier Township) and sophomore Jason Edmunds (Libertyville, Ill. / Libertyville) all as honorable mention selections.

Painter's honor marks the second first-team selection of his career as he's a repeat honoree from last year. The senior led the Tartans midfield for the second straight season as a team captain and scored two goals while recording two assists. Both of his goals came in the season finale win against Case Western Reserve University.

Cohen earned his second All-UAA honorable mention honor after scoring four goals this season. His three assists this season came in UAA play when the Tartans topped the University of Rochester and Emory University at home on the same weekend.

Moskowitz anchored the backline for the Tartans and scored the game-winning goal against the Emory Eagles this season. The honor is the second of his career, as he was named to the second team last season.

Edmunds started every game this season at outside back for the Tartans, earning two assists in UAA play while scoring twice during the non-conference season.
