(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team scored the game-winning goal late in the second half to top Emory University at home on Friday, October 28 by a 2-1 score to move to 10-3-1 for the year and 2-3 in the University Athletic Association (UAA). The Eagles drop to 5-7-4 and 1-4.

- Sophomore Jake Kavan entered the game midway through the first half and scored the game's first goal in the 40th minute off an assist by junior William Rabon.
- The Eagles equalized in the 55th minute when Cole Hendricks ran onto a long pass by Alejandro Gomez and toe-poked a shot past a charging Liam Ryan at the edge of the 18-yard box.
- In the 80th minute, sophomore Billy Boucuvalas received a pass from senior Kiran Sarvepalli with the defense rotated to the right of their own goal. Boucuvalas finished a 1v1 with the keeper through his legs for the game-winner.
- Two minutes prior, Ryan made his biggest save of the game, swallowing a shot by Josh Grand at the left post.
