Chu Competes in Breaststroke at NCAA Championships

(SHENANDOAH, Texas) – Freshman Matthew Chu (Warren, N.J./Saint Peter's Prep) competed as an individual for the Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team on Friday, March 20 at the 2015 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Shenandoah, Texas.

Chu swam the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing 27th overall in 56.77. His participation is the first of his career but he'll join senior Josh Lucheon (Knoxville, Tenn./Knoxville Catholic), sophomore Sivan Mehta (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) and freshman Kevin Steinhouse (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs School) in the 400-yard freestyle relay on Saturday to close the championships.
