Freshman Mitchell Riek (Sunland, Calif./Bishop Alemany) closed the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships with his third All-America honor on Saturday, March 19. Behind Riek's performances and freshman Gabriel Bamforth's (Cambridge, Mass./CRLS) diving, the Tartans finished 28th overall.

Riek's record-breaking performance came in the 200-yard butterfly.

Freshman Gabriel Bamforth (Cambridge, Mass./CRLS) was crowned a UAA Champion in 1-meter diving while head diving coach Alicia Gorman was named UAA Men's Diving Coach of the Year.

Saturday's men's and women's swimming & diving dual meet between Denison University and Carnegie Mellon University has been cancelled due to the recent snowfall that struck Western Pennsylvania overnight. The meet was scheduled to take place at Denison's Trumbull Aquatics Center at 1 p.m. The meet will not be rescheduled.
