Freestyle Relay Sets School Record at Kenyon Fast Chance Meet

(GAMBIER, Ohio) – Members of the Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team traveled to Kenyon College for the Kenyon Fast Chance Meet on Saturday, February 24.

Junior Winston Chu (Warren, N.J. / Saint Peter's Prep) bettered his season time in the 100-yard breaststroke when he touched in 55.64. His time is now 17th best in the nation and he'll wait to hear about a bid to the NCAA Championships next week.

The men's 200-yard freestyle relay of freshman Justin Britton (Falls Church, Va. / George Mason), freshman Max Gonzalez (Allison Park, Pa. / North Allegheny), sophomore Richard Deng (West Windsor, N.J. / West Windsor Plainsboro South), and sophomore Sam Hawke (Malvern, Pa. / Episcopal Academy) topped their own school record set at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships when they finished in 1:23.16.
