More Records Set at Kenyon Fast Chance

(GAMBIER, Ohio) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team competed at the Kenyon College Fast Chance Invitational topping two school records and improving on two relay times.

The 400-yard medley relay of senior Justin Britton (Falls Church, Va. / George Mason), senior Colin Daniel (Westfield, N.J. / Westfield), senior Sean Ream (Canton, Ohio / Jackson) and junior Aleksander Tarczynski (Springfield, Va. / West Springfield) cruised to a 3:17.33 time to top the school record set at the same meet in 2020. This year's time puts them sixth in the nation.

The 200-yard freestyle relay of junior Erik Feldmann (Yakima, Wash. / West Valley), junior Yousef Hassen (Redlands, Calif. / Redlands), junior Matthew Nagler (West Chicago, Ill. / St. Charles East) and Britton set the school record last week at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships and topped it today with a time of 1:21.27. The time is currently ninth in the nation.

Sophomore Tyler Hoyt (River Forest, Ill. / Oak Park and River Forest) competed on the 1-meter board to achieve his second qualifying score of the year of 427.95 to earn his place at the upcoming NCAA Diving Regionals.

Next up for the team is NCAA Diving Regionals on Saturday, February 26 and Sunday, February 27 before the draw for nationals is released with competition set to begin on Wednesday, March 16.
