Carnegie Mellon University sophomore men's tennis player Christian Heaney-Secord (Westwood, Mass./Westwood) finished the year with All-America recognition from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). All individuals were announced Wednesday when the organization released the 2013 teams. Heaney-Secord earned the honor for his play in singles competition.

The #16 Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team matched up against #13 Case Western Reserve University on Sunday morning in the third-place match of the University Athletic Association Championship, falling 6-3 to the Spartans after two three-set matches in singles play were needed to determine the winner. The Tartans close out the regular season with a 13-7 mark as the Spartans finish with a 21-6 mark.

The #16 Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team led after doubles play but the 3rd-ranked Emory University Eagles were able to mount a comeback in singles to win the semifinal match of the University Athletic Association Championship 5-4 on Saturday afternoon. The Tartans are now 13-6 on the year.

The 16th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men’s tennis team advanced to the semifinals of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship with a 7-2 victory over 29th-ranked University of Chicago Friday, April 26 at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla. With the win, the Tartans improve to 13-5 overall while the Maroons move to 12-5.
