Doubles Lead Doesn't Hold as #16 Tartans Fall at #2 Kenyon

(GAMBIER, Ohio) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team matched up against the second-ranked team in the nation at Kenyon College on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Lords 6-3 after leading 2-1 following doubles play. The #16 Tartans are now 12-5 on the season.

Doubles pairs of senior Duke Miller (Poway, Calif./Poway) and sophomore Christian Heaney-Secord (Westwood, Mass./Westwood) won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles as sophomore Bryce Beisswanger (Los Angeles, Calif./Viewpoint School) and freshman Yuvraj Kumar (New Delhi, India/Millfield School) won 8-5 at No. 3 doubles to give the Tartans a 2-1 advantage.

The Tartans' final point of the match came from senior Jooho Yu (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North) at No. 6 singles as he won 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 over Tim Rosensteel.

The Tartans next match will be at the University Athletic Association Championships on Friday, April 26 in Orlando, Florida.
