Rozenvasser Advances to Semifinals of ITA Oracle Cup

(SURPRISE, Ariz.) - Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis freshman Michael Rozenvasser (Haworth, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) continued his sizzling start to his rookie campaign with a victory in the quarterfinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Oracle Cup on Thursday, October 13. Rozenvasser gained entry to the national tournament by winning the ITA Southeast Regional on October 3.

Rozenvasser drew the number one seed of Kai Yuen Leung of Skidmore College in the first round of the top eight players in the nation for the fall. The freshman continued his strong play, defeating the senior 6-2, 6-2.

Rozenvasser advances to the semifinals and will face the winner of University of Texas-Tyler sophomore Arthur Fagundes and Emory University senior Aman Manji on Friday at 8:30 a.m. MT.
