Rozenvasser Edged in Semifinal of ITA Oracle Cup

(SURPRISE, Ariz.) - Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis freshman Michael Rozenvasser (Haworth, N.J./Northern Valley Regional) faced senior Aman Manji of Emory University in the semifinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Oracle Cup on Friday, October 14 at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Club in Surprise, Arizona. Manji rallied in the second set to defeat Rozenvasser and advance to his first national championship appearance.

Rozenvasser dropped the first set 6-2 before jumping out to a 4-1 lead in the second. Manji was able to regroup and won five straight games to earn the semifinal victory.

Rozenvasser will play in the third-place match on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. MT against Gustavus Adolphus junior Mohanad Alhouni who placed fourth at the same national tournament last fall.
