#9 Men’s Tennis Drops UAA Semifinal Match to #7 Chicago

(ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla.) - The ninth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team faced seventh-ranked University of Chicago in the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship semifinals on Friday, April 27. The Maroons opened with a sweep in doubles and went on for the 8-1 victory. The Tartans are now 14-6 while the Maroons move to 15-4. The three-day event is being held at the Sanlando Park Tennis Complex in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Junior Daniel Levine (Highland Park, Ill. / Boca Prep International School) claimed the Tartans lone point of the day with a straight set win at first singles. The junior won 6-1, 6-2.

The Tartans will play the 13th-ranked Bears of Washington University on Saturday, April 28 at 9:00 a.m. in the third-place match.
