Aprill and Motaghedi Named to All-UAA Men’s Tennis Team

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Freshmen Brandon Aprill (Mountain View, Calif. / The Menlo School) and Nadim Motaghedi (Cerritos, Calif. / Whitney) were honored in their first season by the University Athletic Association (UAA) coaches on the 2021 All-UAA Men's Tennis Team. Both received the accolade for their play in singles with Aprill at second and Motaghedi at third.

The duo had a combined singles record of 15-2 this spring. Aprill posted a mark of 7-1 while Motaghedi tabbed an 8-1 record. Both Aprill's and Motaghedi's lone loss came against Division I Duquesne University while they each collected two of their wins against other Division I opponents. All of Motaghedi's victories this season came in straight sets.

The two helped the Tartans to an overall record of 10-3 and a regular season mark of 8-0 against Division III teams. The Cardinal and Gray advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament, which was the furthest the team has advanced since the 2017-18 season.
