#22 Tartans Drop Contest to #1 Case Western Reserve

(MONROEVILLE, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team, ranked 22nd in the latest Division III ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, hosted the nation's topped ranked team and University Athletic Association (UAA) foe Case Western Reserve University on Saturday afternoon. Due to inclement weather the match was moved indoors to the Alpha Tennis Center in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. The Tartans fell 9-0 and are now 5-10 while the Spartans move to 19-3.

Case Western Reserve swept doubles play to take a 3-0 advantage. Singles saw the Spartans claim all six matches in straight sets.

The Tartans will next travel to Altamonte Springs, Florida, for the UAA Championship with play set to begin on Thursday, April 21. The draw for the tournament will be released by Monday, April 18.
