Vandenberg Advances to Finals at the NCAA Championships

(LINCOLN, Neb.) - Carnegie Mellon University men's track and field junior Thomas Vandenberg (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) will compete in the finals of the 800-meter run at the 2014 NCAA Indoor Division III Track and Field Championships on Saturday, March 15. 

Vandenberg competed in the 800-meter run prelims at the championship meet Friday afternoon. Crossing the line with a time of 1:51.77, Vandenberg is one of eight competitors that will be competing for All-America honors. 

This year's championships are being hosted at Nebraska's Devaney Sports Center by Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Vandenberg is set to compete in the finals Saturday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. CST.
