Mid-Distance Runs in Day Two of the 2014 Bucknell Bison Classic

(LEWISBURG, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's track and field team competed in day two of the 2014 Bucknell Bison Classic on Sunday afternoon.

Junior mid-distance runner Thomas Vandenberg (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) competed in the 800-meter run alongside competitors from Division I, II, and III.  Vandenberg finished sixth overall with a time of 1:52.46.

Two other Tartans competed in the 800-meter run as well.  Freshman Owen Norley (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston), who had an impressive day one in the 1,500-meter run, crossed the finish line of the 800 with a time of 1:54.66 to take 20th place overall.  Also competing in the event, sophomore Marc-Daniel Julien (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) finished in 29th place, stopping the clock at 1:55.37.

The Tartans will be competing this Wednesday, April 16 at Gesling Stadium in the Carnegie Mellon Tri Meet.
