Men's Track Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award

(NEW ORLEANS, La.) - The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the men's 2015 Division III All-Academic Track & Field Teams and Carnegie Mellon University was included on the list. A total of 99 institutions earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.1 or better.

The men's track and field team achieved a team GPA of 3.30 for the 2013-2014 school year to earn a place on the All-Academic team.

In addition to the team earning the award, senior George Degen (Madison, Wis./West), junior Marc-Daniel Julien (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) and sophomore Owen Norley (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) were named to the team individually.

All three athletes qualified for the award by achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or better with either competing at the NCAA Championships or finishing the season ranked in the national top 35 in an individual event.
