Miller Garners Second Straight UAA Athlete of the Week Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – For the second straight week, sophomore Bram Miller (Colgate, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's outdoor track and field team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week for field events. The honor comes following his performance at the Tartans annual Quad Meet Saturday afternoon.

Miller won the discus throw with a school record toss of 49.78 meters that bettered his previous record by 0.73 meters. The sophomore also won the shot put with a career-best throw of 16.14 meters.

Both throws are tops in the UAA while he ranks third in the shot put and fifth in the discus nationally.

The Tartans will travel to the Dave Labor Invitational on Saturday, April 6 hosted by Slippery Rock University.
