Mills and Miller Sweep UAA Athlete of the Week Track and Field Honors

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Senior Isaac Mills (Fairfax, Va./Oakton) and sophomore Bram Miller (Colgate, Wis./Kettle Moraine Lutheran) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's outdoor track and field team swept the University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week accolades following their weekend performances.

Mills improved upon his 800-meter time at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic, finishing the race in 1:52.98. His time now puts him fifth in the nation and keeps him first in the UAA.

Miller moved his shot put mark to fifth in the nation when he tossed the element a career-best 16.50 meters to place seventh at Bucknell. The sophomore also competed in the discus throw, placing 11th with a mark of 48.90 meters. Miller ranks tops in the UAA in both events.

The Tartans will compete next at the Slippery Rock University Last Chance Qualifier on April 18.
