Yukevich Miller Compete at Opening Day of NCAA Outdoor Championships

(GENEVA, Ohio) - Junior Evan Yukevich (Tokyo, Japan / American School in Japan) and sophomore Bram Miller (Colgate, Wis. / Kettle Moraine Lutheran) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's track and field team competed at the opening day of the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio, on Thursday.

Miller competed in the first of his two events at the championships on Thursday and placed 10th in the discus throw. The sophomore tossed the element 47.38 meters. Yukevich ran in the preliminaries of the 1,500-meter run and crossed the finish line in 4:05.76.

Miller's second event, the shot put, is set to begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday with senior Will Mitchell (Chatham, N.J. / Chatham) competing in the finals of the 5,000-meter run Saturday at 3:25 p.m.
